Shafin Shabir

I am pursuing a PhD in Economics and Econometrics at CERGE-EI, a joint workplace of Charles University and the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, under the supervision of Jan Zapal.

My research interests include Political Economy, Taxation, Applied Theory, and Computational Economics.

I received a CERGE-EI Performance Stipend in Summer 2022 and have received it continuously since Spring 2023. I completed my Master's in Economics from CERGE-EI in November 2023.  Before this, I earned a Master's in Economics of Public Policy from the Barcelona School of Economics, Spain, and a Bachelor's in Economics with a minor in History from Shiv Nadar University, India.
